IBM Expands AI Consulting Services to Support Oracle Cloud Clients

IBM has announced an expansion of its consulting services to help Oracle clients leverage generative AI with a more open, orchestrated approach. With the rising costs of computing, expected to jump 89% by 2025, and 42% of executives citing concerns over limited AI expertise, IBM is stepping up with thousands of certified consultants. These experts specialize in Oracle technologies like OCI Generative AI, OCI Data Science, and IBM’s own watsonx AI platform, ensuring clients can optimize AI use cases and reduce costs.
IBM’s consultants are dedicated to helping clients integrate advanced AI models, including IBM Granite, open-source, and third-party options, to maximize return on investment and reduce implementation expenses. They also assist with critical decisions around AI architecture, software licensing, data analytics, and security. By offering comprehensive AI and automation solutions, IBM aims to provide Oracle clients with a strong, cost-efficient foundation for deploying AI applications.
Further expanding its capabilities, IBM recently announced its intent to acquire Accelalpha, a global Oracle services provider. This acquisition will enhance IBM’s expertise in helping businesses digitize their core operations and adopt Oracle Cloud Applications.
Corinne Koppel, Global Oracle Practice Leader at IBM Consulting, emphasized that clients are enthusiastic about generative AI but are also concerned about rising costs and limited in-house skills. IBM’s expanded services aim to alleviate these challenges by offering more solutions and expertise to support AI-driven innovation using Oracle’s technology.
IBM is already working with Oracle clients across various industries, applying AI to complement Oracle Fusion Applications in areas like human resources, finance, procurement, and public sector solutions. Its AI-powered IBM Consulting Advantage platform helps Oracle clients accelerate their time to value by streamlining migration and modernization projects with AI-powered tools.
